We pulled Sam Flynn out of The Grid and are bringing him to Puyallup this summer. Please welcome Garrett Hedlund to the Washington State Summer Con happening from June 21st through the 23rd. Garrett has spent 20 years starring in movies and television series and starred alongside two of the guests in the 2024 Summer Con lineup.

Garrett landed the role of Achilles’ teenage cousin Patroclus in the major motion picture Troy (2004) opposite Brad Pitt. His next feature was Friday Night Lights (2004) starring Billy Bob Thornton, in which Garrett played a high school football player, Don “Donny” Billingsley. He would co-star with Summer Con guest Ed Speleers in the film Eragon (2006) as Murtagh Morzansson.

He landed a starring role opposite Mark Wahlberg in Four Brothers (2005), playing one of four brothers whose mother is murdered, and then on to the comedy-drama Georgia Rule (2007). He played the starring role of Sam Flynn in the sci-fi remake TRON: Legacy (2010), followed by a role in the adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s famed novel On the Road (2012).

Garrett starred in Unbroken (2014), Pan (2015), and Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk (2016). He played the lead role of Joel Hurley in the Steven Soderbergh series, Mosaic (2017). In 2019, Hedlund joined up with his friend, Charlie Hunnam in the Netflix action movie Triple Frontier. He played Harry J. Anslinger in the film The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021) Recently, you saw Garrett in the 2022 hit Paramount+ series Tulsa King alongside Sylvester Stalone.
